Considering the pack size is 16 MiB by default, would a zfs recordsize of 1MB be best if storing the backups on ZFS?
Or maybe pack size is the wrong metric to determine recordsize?
The pack size is not exactly the value you specify but can be somewhat greater or even much smaller.
