This is a bit meta… I have a few small enhancements I’d like to suggest. Is there a usual workflow for discussion and issue tracking?
I could either open issues directly on github, or draw feedback from the forum here first.
Also, how do the developers feel about community input? I’ve had a good response with one suggestion and I’m grateful for their help, but I don’t want to wear out my welcome!
I appreciate it (a lot, actually) that you spend some time thinking about and seeking feedback before just opening issues on GitHub 
If you’re not sure, let’s discuss it here first, then we can open an issue to track a feature request.
We love community input, but we need to balance all feature requests against developer time and long-term maintenance cost, so we won’t implement all requests 
If 1/4 of my suggestions are taken up I’d consider that a success!
I might have to learn go for the other 75%…
