Windows (ctrl+c) is safe?

Hi guys, thanks for such a great tool, my question is this: is it safe in windows abort backup (ctrl + c). Any recommendation in this regard. Thanks for contributing.

Yes, it is safe to abort a backup, and you can resume it later simply by running the exact same restic command again. Restic will have to re-scan the files you want to back up again, but it will in general summary only upload the data that it had not already uploaded the previous time you ran the backup.

Great, thanks for the reply. Regards.

There is some experimental improvement for this if you feel that re-scanning is a problem for you, see Quicker interrupted backup resumption
