Which is probably better - mounted WebDAV or rclone?

The title says it. For either Linux or Windows (if it makes a difference) is there an anticipated performance or reliability difference between mounting a WebDAV remote storage (like OpenDrive) - assuming the OS supports such (which Linux seems to do well and Windows…sometimes does) vs using rclone (which now uses the OpenDrive API) to access the remote repositories?

In my experience, mounting drives over a network is almost always worse (performance- and reliability-wise) than using a storage medium’s native API. Generally, when using rclone commands is an option, I recommend that.

Although restic mount is cool for little restores. I would not trust it as much for doing large restores or backups.
