Would it make sense to add tahoe-lafs as one of the backends?
While this is a nice idea (thanks for mentioning it), I’d prefer to not add more backends directly to restic right now. Instead, I think it would be better to add this to rclone, so you can use it with restic. Our resources are currently tied with resolving bugs and optimizing functions.

I would suggest the same thing. Restic + rclone is the ideal way to access backends now, since that is rclone’s specialty, and then restic can focus on backup + restore.
