Pretty sure this isn’t possible at the moment, but it’d be super handy if restic dump could use the --include switches like restore.
I do a lot of manual backups for users - and they don’t run restic themselves. Often they’ll ask for files with a specific string in the name. I can always restore, then compress, then upload to OneDrive for them… but it would be handy to just dump directly to a .tar.xz and upload that instead.
