Seriously, without resticprofile I wouldn’t use restic at all because I don’t have enough time to automate it and do it well.
I think a lot of users can be in this situation.
When I consulted the documentation of restic (scheduled bakcups), I was about to give up because no solution was proposed. When I found resticprofile, I finally used restic in combination with it.
resticprofile deserve to be mentioned in the restic documentation backup/scheduling-backups .
