Hi, i’ve recently heard about restic and wanted to test it out and started with sftp backup option.
I’ve configured passwordless ssh between hosts and created a repository without errors.
When i tried to backup a spesific folder which contains roughly 8gigs of data inside but the scan output shows 87 gigs. which is even larger than the machines total disk space. What is the cause of this? Did i do something wrong?
I followed the docs step by step by the way.
How exactly do you run restic? This could be caused by backup: Fix total size for overlapping targets by fd0 · Pull Request #3243 · restic/restic · GitHub . You could try to use a current restic beta version restic beta releases (/) or build the current master branch yourself.
