I have laggy poor connection from one distant host which backups to my NAS, sometimes connection is lost and backup stops.
If I on NAS I run restic repair index will it speed up backup?
Unlikely. Repairing the index is not really something that will solve an unstable and slow connection.
You can restart a stopped backup just fine, restic will only send what hasn’t been sent already. But I guess you already know that
