Yes, unfortunately this happens regularly, see for example Restic 0.10.0 for Windows and Jiangmin: false positive?
So, I got Avast and AVG (which really are the only ones on the VirusTotal detections list that mean anything because Antiy-AVL and MaxSecure are trash and McAfee-GW-Edition does not detect the binary itself) to clear the restic Windows x64 executable. I hope they make that flow through to the other restic binaries.
