Hi guys, I am truly delighted with this tool, but I see that the initial copy is very slow. I am using Restic 0.12 on windows and vss, backend a windows server and Minio. Any ideas? Thanks a lot. Greetings.
I’m not sure if this is your problem, but when I first started using restic in windows, microsoft defender was slowing it down tremendously. Adding a process exclusion for restic.exe seems to have made that problem go away. (windows security > virus & threat protection > manage settings > add or remove exclusions)
Do you mean “initial copy” as in using the copy command or do you refer to the backup command?
