Future Backup for zimbra?

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a future possibility to be able to backup zimbra using restic?
i know that backing up postfix with dovecot uses Mail Cur format which is possible to use restic but zimbra is a different way how it saves its files so not sure if its possible?

I don’t think you need an extra feature for this, afaik you can backup zimbra with zmbackup, which will create a backup folder which you can backup via restic easily.

Thanks for the reply, as zmbackup seems to be an issue with incremental backups

I was doing some investigation on using Restic with Zimbra and ran into this thread. I intend to use restic as disaster recovery while using zmbkpose for mailbox backup and restore.

Furthermore, I just wanted to add the only problem with restic is the LDAP’s sparse file, as it doesn’t yet support it. It will be restored as a normal file. To recreate it follow this guide.

hi there, currently im working with zmbackup i wish it could work with restic the issue is the format to restore it
