Backrest: a cross platform backup orchestrator and WebUI for restic

I can now (rather embarrassingly) report that the config.json file is stored here:
$HOME/.config/backrest/config.json

Why rather embarrassingly, you ask?
Because it’s very well documented in the readme.

Any specific reason for rclone (in the container) = v1.66.0-DEV?

Thanks btw! Probably moving from Duplicati to Backrest.

Edit: I can see files added to backup-runs but can I see what files got added/updated in some log or something?

rustic integration looks very interesting. I really like the lock free philosophy.
I use rustic to interact with the repo from command line if needed.

Can’t add minutes when setting cron schedule for check and prune. Just full hours.
Like I want to run prune 6:00 and check 6:30 same day once a week.

Backrest need some nice favicon.ico. No nice look in the bookmark shelf.

Thanks!

just popping in here to say wow. Backrest has come a long way. i’ve been using restic since like v.0.10. i used to do all my stuff with cron jobs but that’s a major pain in the ass. backrest makes it really easy to organize backups, and pruning.

THANK YOU!

Question, I used to use rest-server to backup to other systems…is that supported? it seems only sftp is supported.

@arkadi I see rest-server is not really mentioned on the backrest github page or documentation.

But you can fill the rest-server address like rest:https://host:8000/ in the Repository URI, that worked for me.

Are you missing a leading slash there? Should it be /home/mdadmin/docker/itflow?
