Backend: Rclone or Native b2?

Greetings,

For a brand new b2 backup, is there a recommendation to use the native b2 backend or the rclone backend? Are there any differences between the two?

The implementation for accessing B2 is different, but you (as a user) will probably not notice any difference. So I’d use the integrated B2 backend so you don’t have to install and update rclone…

Another thing: I’m not sure about rclone, but restic will support a new feature called “application keys” for B2 in a few hours, where you can create restricted access credentials which can only access a single bucket. See https://github.com/restic/restic/pull/1914 for details.
